I’ve been wanting a piece by @johnjelfs for a while- this glaze technique in particular. Really I’d love a jug but this was what I could afford. Looking forward to using it as an example when I do handle workshops at the new @fireformedst

Designed to bake a Camembert in. But really you could put anything in it.

An imprint of the red cedar from @oxfordkilns , and shells unused under other pieces to protect against the ash sticking everything together. This makes for a complex surface on this dish. Not to mention the extra bits of matter that have floated aro

This is my new favourite. Randy Johnson Shino with Tenmoku stripes, fired in @nic.collins.75 kiln. It’s like an 80s reversible jumper- a different pattern on the other side. The Shino is doing all the things I like; oranges and peaches, crackle

This very big bottle was under the side stoke hole in @nic.collins.75 ‘s kiln, fired for over 80 hours. It has a gnarly side, as you can imagine, but also this wonderful stripy, expressive side.

Fish vase fired at @oxfordkilns Anagama over 49 hours. Porcelain inlay, ash glaze dribbles.
